A link and/or e-mail contact for details, directions, registration, etc. is highly recommended.  Events should be cycling-related and must be non-commercial and non-political.

CCBA is pleased to be a co-sponsor of the Third annual 1000 FRIENDS of Connecticut Smart Growth Conference on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 950 & 960 Main Street, Hartford. This year's theme, "Old Challenges, New Opportunities" will highlight the rare opportunities faced in growing smart during these challenging economic times. CCBA's 5th Annual Dinner will be held on Tuesday March 23rd, 6-9:00pm at the Pond House, Elizabeth Park, West Hartford.
We are excited to present as our Keynote speaker, Jeff Miller, President/CEO Alliance for Biking and Walking.

Jim Calhoun Cancer Challenge Ride and Walk 06/12/2010 @ 07:00 AM


This is an annual, state-wide event hosted by Coach Jim Calhoun to benefit the Carol and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center (at the University of Connecticut Health Center) and the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer. The event takes place on June 12th, in Simsbury, CT.  The bike ride is non-competitive, and you may choose to ride 10, 25, 50, or 75 miles, or there is also a 5K walk.   There is a registration fee, and also a fundraising requirement for riders over 18. The day culminates with a summer cookout, and live music. You can relax after the ride with Coach, some of his players, and other participants.  For more information visit the ride website or walk website.
