TRAVELERS BIKE CLUB - Open to club members
and friends. The Travelers Bike Club offers Wednesday Night rides starting
at 6 p.m. Groups head out at varying paces over courses of approximately
ten, twenty or twenty-five miles. Start locations vary around the greater
Hartford area. This year's biking season runs through August. If you are

Multiple Sclerosis Society of CT / MS Bike Tours - The Greater
Connecticut Chapter hosts two bike tours each year – the bkm/Steelcase MS
Bike Tour and the Mohegan Sun MS Bike Tour. Whether you are a pedal-churning
cycling junkie or a recreational cyclist, one of these tours is sure to be
the ride for you! |

Annual Volvo Best Buddies Challenge - Best Buddies Connecticut is
seeking cyclists of all abilities to join Team Connecticut. Cyclists
will complete either 90 or 20 miles, raising funds to support Best Buddies
programs. The Challenge takes off on May 19, 2007 at the John F.
Kennedy Library in Boston, finishing in Hyannis Port, MA. |

- 130 mile, 2 day charitable cycling event held on May 26 & 27, 2007.
Day 1 spans from Norfolk to Ashford Connecticut. Day 2 starts in
Ashford and ends in beautiful Mystic on Long Island Sound. The Hole in
The Wall Gang Camp, a camping retreat for children with cancer and other
life-threatening diseases along with their outreach program, Camp In A
Suitcase, are the beneficiaries. |

Trails Council is planning this celebration of National Trails Day with 10,
28, & 50 Mile Bike Tours,Running, Walking, and Inline Skating Events. |

Greater Hartford JCC Poker Bicycle Ride - July:
8, 2007 The ride is a 15 or 25 mile recreational bike ride. Each 5 miles
the riders stop at a rest stop to draw a card from a deck. The 15 mile
riders will receive an extra card at the last rest stop. Riders with
the best poker hands of the day win prizes. The ride will start at the Swim
& Tennis Club-4 Duncaster Road, Bloomfield. Time: 7:45-8:45 AM
Registration 9:00 AM start time The ride benefits the Jewish Community
Center's Youth and special needs program All participants receive a food
ticket for lunch-Rock Cats Tickets-Use of the Swim & Tennis Club after
the ride (pool, tennis courts & showers). Contact Amy

Mass
BikePike Tour - 4 day ride across Massachusetts celebrating its
scenic terrain, quaint villages and wonderful local foods. In addition to
being a lot of fun, the goal of this tour is to be a major fundraiser for
the Bicycle Coalition of Massachusetts: MassBike.
The tour has a registration fee, but does not involve pledging, making it
rather unique these days. This year tour runs from Thurs, Aug 16th
through Sun., August 19th, with a choice of 3 routes daily (30, 50 or 65
miles). |
